About:
In summer 2023, I was the social media/graphic design intern for the City of Riverside. This internship allowed me to show my creativity and give input into how to market certain aspects of the city and city events and services.
Some tasks I have completed since starting this internship:
- Created T-shirt designs for staff appreciation
- Created content for events, holidays, news, etc. for Facebook
- Coordinated on graphic design projects for different departments in the city such as the Fire Department, Police Department, HR, Parks and Recreation, etc.
- Updated and created content for the City's website

FIRE DEPARTMENT
​
During the course of my internship with the City, I worked one-on-one with the Fire Department to come up with ideas as to how to decorate their new facility.
​
One of my ideas to decorate included coming up with a design that would fill one of the larger walls. I spent some time creating word art that I thought was not only interesting to look at, but something that I felt embodied our fire fighters.

After creating the design, I communicated with the ProPrint to get a quote and finalize our work. The design is currently in the process of being printed.

F/PaL -Fire and police athletic league
​
F/PAL was another department I worked one-on-one with during the course of my internship. The Fire and Police Athletic League is a program through the City of Riverside that allows under-privileged children to participate in fun activities with the fire fighters and police officers through the course of the year.
​
All the fun activities we have planned for those children are able to be put on with the donations we receive from our sponsors. The F/PAL Golf Tournament is one of the biggest fundraising events of the year and is the source of income for the rest of the year.
​
I helped market, promote, and shoutout this event to receive as many sponsors as we can. This also included creating a video to share at the tournament and making all the signage.
